Red Iron Labs
Immerse Yourself in Dark Reality
On Monday, May 23rd, Red Iron Labs and the Calgary Game Developers Association are connecting gamers with developers. The game demo showcase provides players with a glimpse of what games are being developed locally, while providing developers an opportunity to get feedback about their work-in-progress. The inspiration, says Red Iron Labs founder Lloyd Summers, came from his experience at the Game Discovery Exhibition (GDX) in Edmonton in early May.
"It’s win-win. Gamers get to preview what’s being created in their own backyards, while the feedback the developers get is priceless, especially so early in development. If my game is unenjoyable, then I want to know now, not after the game’s release. We organized this event to give local gamers and developers the same value we got from GDX, but in a much smaller scale. It’s an informal drop-in session to encourage people to come and support our local indie game developer community". - Lloyd Summers, Co-Founder of Red Iron Labs
The demo session is also an opportunity for the new start up, which was founded earlier this year, to gain local visibility and support for their upcoming Kickstarter Campaign, set to begin mid June.
To participate in this event, drop by Assembly Coworking Space (Suite 400, 119 14th Street NW) anytime between 6-9 PM on Monday, May 23rd. You can email Rosalinda Hernandez at firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
